JVC Full HD 3D Consumer Camcorder Is World’s First

UPDATED — January 25, 2011:  The price of the JVC GS-TD1 3D camcorder has been revised to $1,699.95.

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2011 ?JVC today announced the world’s first consumer camcorder to offer 3D recording in Full HD, thanks to a new JVC-developed high-speed processor that can produce two simultaneous Full HD images.

The new GS-TD1 uses two camera lenses and two 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensors – one for each lens – to capture three-dimensional images much the same way that human eyes work.  JVC’s new high-speed imaging engine simultaneously processes the two Full HD images – left and right images at 1920 x 1080i – within that single chip.  The newly developed “LR Independent Format” makes the GS-TD1 the world’s first consumer-oriented camcorder capable of 3D shooting in Full HD.  JVC’s new camcorder offers other shooting modes as well, including the widely used “Side-by-Side Format” for AVCHD (3D) and conventional AVCHD (2D) shooting.

The camcorder uses a JVC 3D Twin HD GT Lens that sets a new standard in high-resolution lenses with extra-low-dispersion glass for crisp, high-contrast images, as well as multiple aspherical lenses for fine image reproduction. The GS-TD1 also features round iris diaphragms that enable beautiful bokeh effect (background blurring) shooting of video and stills alike.

New JVC HD Everio Camcorders Boast Improved Performance and Convenience

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2011 ? JVC today announced a new HD Everio camcorder line that offers a range of sophisticated features to deliver top-quality high definition video and unprecedented ease-of-use. The new line includes technologies that deliver outstanding low light performance, superior image stabilization and advanced scene analysis for optimum image quality. Other features found on most models include 40x optical zoom and touch panel LCD screens. What’s more, the line’s top model offers on-the-fly 2D-to-3D conversion for 3D viewing on the camcorder’s LCD screen or any compatible TV.

JVC_GZ-HM960

JVC_GZ-HM960

“This is our most advanced HD Everio line ever and clearly demonstrates that not all Full HD camcorders are created equal,” said Dave Owen, Vice President, Consumer Video Division, JVC U.S.A. “Looking back at 35mm film cameras, if you had a single lens reflex model and a snapshot camera both using identical film and capable of the same resolution, all would agree that the SLR would produce a better quality image. Similarly, Full HD is merely a measure of resolution. Quality differences among Full HD camcorders result from the camcorders’ optics and image sensors, which generate each pixel that creates the image. It’s these components that set our new HD Everio line apart from other Full HD cams.”

JVC MOBILE OFFERS HIGH-END ARSENAL SERIES SPEAKERS

LAS VEGAS — January 6, 2011 — JVC Mobile Entertainment offers a selection of Arsenal Series speakers to appeal to specialist retailers and enthusiasts.

The Arsenal Series component speakers CS-ARS500, CS-ARS650 and CS-ARS680 feature an illuminated crossover network and a glass fiber laminated hemp cone.

The advanced Arsenal Series coaxial speakers CS-AR500, CS-AR650, CS-AR680 and CS-AR690 feature a tweeter voice coil that delivers point source radiation and box-in-line design for crossover networks.

All Arsenal speakers have a sensitivity of 92dB/Wm.The two-year standard warranty applies to all Arsenal products.

A slim design on Arsenal component and coaxial speakers allows for installation in a wide range of cars. This is enabled by application of neodymium magnets and aluminum frames. Tweeter voice coil within the woofer also delivers point source radiation on component models.

Hemp fiber construction provides natural mid and high frequency sound and creates a smooth transition between woofer and tweeter crossover frequencies.

Included T3 Chassis (Thermal Transfer Technology) transfers heat away from the voice coil to the speaker’s aluminum basket. The aluminum basket acts like a radiator for the T3 process providing protection against overheated voice coils. The center piece on an Arsenal component driver is connected to the speaker’s T3 structure, and efficiently dissipates heat from inside of the motor structure while its unique shape design also blends and focuses high-frequency sound waves toward the listener’s ears.

The Solid Disc Magnet focuses more magnetic power upward toward the speaker’s voice coil—creating more power handling and SPL.

The KS-AR9501D’s external bridging can be used through the optional pin connector, allowing the use of multiple amplifiers at once. Using one unit as your master, and the other as the slave, you can take two 1500W amps and produce a total of 3000W at 2Ω. All adjustments and control amplifiers in this configuration are done through the master unit, leaving the slave unit locked. Additionally, the RM-RK130, a wired bass boost remote control, can be added to the master unit. The KS-AR9501D digital amp is now available with an MSRP of $649.95.

Major Features of the KS-AR9501D Arsenal Digital Amplifier:
