One ATSC tuner-equipped and one tuner-less model debut.
LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2009 – JVC today announced two new DVD/VCR recorders, one with a built-in ATSC tuner for convenient recording of high definition TV programming, and a tuner-free model with JVC’s Timer Link for easy program recording.
Both the DR-MV150B and DR-MV80B offer VHS-to-DVD dubbing and feature 1080p upconversion through HDMI for DVD and VHS content, making it an excellent companion for today’s HDTVs. A front panel DV input makes it easy to connect a camcorder and transfer footage to a DVD disc or VHS videocassette. Both decks are compatible with –R/RW, +R/RW and DVD-RAM discs for recording and playback, can read JPEG, MP3 and WMA files, and offer Dolby Digital and DTS HD decoding.

LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2009 – JVC today announced its first Blu-ray player, a low-profile unit that offers BD Live compatibility and AVCHD playback, among other features.
The new JVC XV-BP1 is a truly versatile high definition player, offering playback of high definition Blu-ray discs, plus playback of the AVCHD format, the high definition format widely used for HD camcorders, including the JVC HD Everio line.
Among the many features of the new JVC XV-BP1 Blu-ray player, to be available in March, is BD Live (Profile ver. 2.0) compatibility when used with USB memory. With BD Live compatibility the player can be connected to the Internet to access BD Live 2.0 features, including easy firmware updates, new movie trailers, updated subtitles, online shopping, chat and gaming.

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2008 – JVC today introduced a new DVD/VCR combo and two new DVD players, offering a video playback option to meet the full range of consumer needs.
For those who want the convenience of DVD and VHS playback in a single unit, JVC offers the new HR-XVC11B/12S (B = black; S = silver) DVD/VCR combo. For recording TV programs to VHS, the deck includes JVC’s Timer Link, a quick and easy solution for recording TV programs by connecting to a cable or satellite set-top box using an AV cable. The user selects the desired program using the set-top box electronic program guide and timer function. JVC’s new Timer Link feature senses the signal, automatically powers up the recorder and begins recording. Recording automatically stops and the recorder shuts off when the program ends. JVC research shows that the vast majority of set-top boxes come equipped with a timer.
Other HR-XVC11B/12S features include Multi DVD (-R/RW and +R/RW) and JPEG playback, a coaxial digital output and AV analog input.

LAS VEGAS January 6, 2008 – JVC today announced two new DVD/VCR recorders, one with a built-in ATSC tuner for convenient recording of high definition TV programming, and a tuner-less model.
Both the DR-MV100B and DR-MV79B offer 1080p up-conversion via an HDMI output for the best quality video and audio and the convenience of both delivered through a single cable. Both also offer DivX playback, so video files downloaded from the internet can be conveniently archived to a DVD and played back from a disc. A front panel DV input makes it easy to connect a camcorder and transfer footage to a DVD disc or VHS videocassette. And both are compatible with –R/RW, +R/RW and DVD-RAM discs for recording and playback.
