JVC Mobile Entertainment Introduces Additional Built-In Bluetooth Receivers with New Compatability for Smartphones
Long Beach, Calif., January 10, 2012 — JVC Mobile Entertainment, a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated mobile, audio, and video products, is proud to announce a new 2012 lineup that includes many products offering built-in Bluetooth® technology and Bluetooth-ready capability, as well as new software compatibility for Blackberry™, iPhone®, and Android platforms.
Built-In Bluetooth® remains at three models in the AV lineup but expands in 2012 from three models to nine in the CD lineup and from two to four models in the Navigation lineup. Two out of three receivers in the new Digital Media Receiver lineup also feature full Built-in Bluetooth® functionality. All other 2012 receivers in Multimedia, CD, and DMR lineups are Ready for Bluetooth® using an optional adapter.
The Bluetooth® phone pairing feature has also been simplified from eight steps to three steps with Simple Secure Pairing technology. Standard features of 2012 built-in Bluetooth® receivers include: phone book access/phone book transfer, hands-free calling, audio streaming with remote control and text message receipt notification. CD and Multimedia receivers feature voice recognition dialing and potential for two phones to be connected full-time.
Using Bluetooth’s SPP Profile, CD Receivers with built-in Bluetooth® connectivity are now compatible for applications such as Pandora® internet radio for CD Receivers and Digital Media Receivers using Blackberry® and Android phones. Users can operate most of Pandora’s key features such as thumb up, thumb down, skip, and favorite station selection. Song and artist display are also shown on the receiver’s screen.
The KS-BTA100 Bluetooth® add-on module continues this year and is connectable through the JVC rear AUX-IN terminal on 2012 Bluetooth® Ready receivers. The adapter makes Bluetooth® Wireless Technology available to all 2012 CD receivers and AV Multimedia receivers for $79.95 that do not have the built-in technology.
