JVC’s new slim LCD TVs, part of the company’s Procision series, feature a cabinet that across most of its width measures a mere 1.5 inches (39mm) deep, with a maximum depth of just 2.9-inches (74mm) at the panel’s center. The design ensures that from nearly any angle, the sets present a super-slim appearance. Complementing the slim design is a thinner bezel, further minimizing the presence of the cabinet.

JVC LAUNCHES NEW 1080p FLAT PANEL LCD TVs

New models in 42-, 47- and 52-inch screen sizes.

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2008 – JVC today launched a new LCD TV series comprised of three models that offer 1080p full HD resolution. All three models, in 42-, 47-inch and 52-inch screen sizes, incorporate an array of JVC technologies that combine to deliver sharp, natural images with even the most challenging program material.

JVC’s new X-Series LCD TVs feature a newly designed cabinet with a thin glossy bezel and bottom-firing speakers, a configuration that conveys the sets’ focus on both audio and video performance. All three models feature full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and upconvert all signals to display at full 1080p. Three HDMI inputs allow connection of the latest generation of 1080p sources that offer 1080p outputs. Other features include nine aspect modes, four picture modes, a new on-screen menu system with detailed graphics, a redesigned remote and a side-access USB photo viewer.

JVC LAUNCHES LCD TVs WITH INTEGRATED iPod® DOCK

Four-model series offers flip-down iPod dock for convenient video and music playback.

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2008 – TV playback of iPod® video content is more convenient than ever with the announcement of new JVC LCD TVs with a built-in iPod dock. Each of the four new models, including three full HD 1080p sets, features JVC’s new TeleDock™, a flip-down iPod dock at the base of the set, providing a direct connection for playback through the TV.

The new JVC P-Series includes the 32-inch LT-32P679, 42-inch LT-42P789, 47-inch LT-47P789 and the 52-inch LT-52P789. The LT-32P679 is a 768p model, while the others offer 1080p resolution.

JVC INTRODUCES UPGRADED DVD/VCR COMBO AND DVD PLAYERS

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2008 – JVC today introduced a new DVD/VCR combo and two new DVD players, offering a video playback option to meet the full range of consumer needs.

For those who want the convenience of DVD and VHS playback in a single unit, JVC offers the new HR-XVC11B/12S (B = black; S = silver) DVD/VCR combo. For recording TV programs to VHS, the deck includes JVC’s Timer Link, a quick and easy solution for recording TV programs by connecting to a cable or satellite set-top box using an AV cable. The user selects the desired program using the set-top box electronic program guide and timer function. JVC’s new Timer Link feature senses the signal, automatically powers up the recorder and begins recording. Recording automatically stops and the recorder shuts off when the program ends. JVC research shows that the vast majority of set-top boxes come equipped with a timer.

Other HR-XVC11B/12S features include Multi DVD (-R/RW and +R/RW) and JPEG playback, a coaxial digital output and AV analog input.
