JVC DEBUTS NEW 5.1 CHANNEL HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS

JVC DEBUTS NEW 5.1 CHANNEL HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS

New line includes systems with iPod® compatibility and wireless surround speakers.

LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2009 – New JVC home theater systems unveiled today are designed to complement today’s high definition displays and handle the various range of digital sources now available, while providing enhanced ease-of-use.

The three systems in the new JVC line, the TH-G31, TH-G41 and TH-G51, are 1000-watt, 5.1-channel systems comprised of a progressive scan DVD receiver, five speakers and a subwoofer. Each system includes an HDMI output with 1080p up-conversion and the TH-G41 and G51 include an HDMI input with repeater. A front auxiliary input on each system makes connecting additional sources quick and simple. All three systems offer Dolby Digital and DTS decoding.

To those features, the TH-G41 adds iPod/iPhone music and video playback through a connected dock, with control play, pause and skip functions controlled through the home theater system’s remote. To make control even easier, there’s an on-screen display that shows the iPod or /iPhone menu on the connected TV.

At the top of the line is the TH-G51, which adds wireless rear speakers to the feature set offered by the TH-G41. Providing wireless technology for the rear surround speakers eliminates what for many consumers is a serious challenge when setting up a multi-channel home theater system – how to unobtrusively run wires from the main unit to the rear speakers.

JVC ANNOUNCES NEW MARSHMALLOW IN-EAR CANAL HEADPHONES

JVC ANNOUNCES NEW MARSHMALLOW IN-EAR CANAL HEADPHONES

Company also expands Gumy in-ear line with three new colors.

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2008 – JVC today announced a new, more comfortable in-ear canal headphone in seven colors to coordinate with the latest iPod® players from Apple. The HA-FX34 Marshmallow has been designed with wearer comfort as a top priority. Super-soft earpieces in two sizes are supplied as standard, providing a snug fit for a wide range of users.

While the earpieces provide a perfect fit for the ears, the range of seven body and cord colors complements perfectly Apple’s third-generation iPod nano™ and iPod shuffle™ models. Furthermore, the gold-plated connection plug is fully compatible with Apple’s iPhone™, making the HA-FX34 an ideal choice for music on the go.

Completing the feature set is the 3.28-foot (1.0 m) friction-noise reduction cord, designed to minimize the noise generated as the cord brushes against clothing.

The HA-F130 Gumy in-ear headphones, meanwhile, are now available in three new colors– Raspberry Red, Mint Blue and Melon Green – bringing the lineup to a total of eight. The soft rubber body of the headphones that inspired the “Gumy” nickname has been redesigned for even greater comfort, and like the Marshmallow, the Gumy comes with a gold-plated iPhone and iPod compatible plug.

The JVC HA-FX34 Marshmallow will be available in February 2008 at a nationally advertised value of $20.00. The JVC HA-F130 Gumy is available now at a nationally advertised value of $10.00.
